Our Halloween season has been a great one! It began with Kallie noticing our neighbor's yard, which was filled with scary things like ghosts, skeletons, tombstones, etc. She told me that their yard was ready for Halloween. She then kept asking me when we were going to get our house ready for Halloween. I had very little fall decor and le
ss interest in decorating for it, so I kept saying, "Well, we'll see," thinking maybe she would just stop asking. Nope! She kept asking. So, I pulled out a $1.00 ghost I found at the DI a few years ago and put it up on the door. I asked her if our house was ready for Halloween. She said, "no!" So, we bought a stake for outside the door that has three little ghosts on it (you can put tealights in the ghosts). We put that outside the front door, and some little pumpkins we grew in the garden. I asked her again, "Is our house ready

for Halloween now?" Again, she said, "no." She asked again when we were going to get our house ready for Halloween. I decided to just give in and decorate! So, one day while Kallie was at school, I spent a couple hours decorating our front room with pumpkins I have saved over the years, some more pumpkins we grew in the garden and those stretchy spider webs you can buy from the store, that I also had in my Halloween bucket from years ago. Here are a few pi
ctures of what it ended up looking like! I haven't
decorated in so long, I forgot how much fun it can be. I was so

pleased when Kallie came home and said, "MOM! Now we are ready for Halloween! Yea!" All for the love and satisfaction of a child! It was certainly worth it!
Oh my word cute!!! I've never even been to your house. Can I come visit sometime? You have the cutest things---you certainly have a gift for putting things together. Love it!
